Allstate Insurance in the United States is using actor Dean Winters as the front man of “Mayhem is Everywhere”, a fear-filled advertising campaign from Leo Burnett Detroit. The integrated campaign, launched in June 2010, features a range of worst case scenarios in which the insurance company comes through to protect its customers. “Mayhem is Everywhere. Protect Yourself. Are you in Good Hands?” The campaign includes local-market print, radio and out-of-home advertising, a Facebook page, Twitter stream, and a collection of television commercials online at the Allstate Youtube channel. Mayhem becomes tree branches crushing a car, deer darting into the road or a distracted teen texting behind the wheel to drive home the point that uncertainty is everywhere. The ads close with well known Allstate spokesman Dennis Haysbert saying “dollar for dollar, nobody protects you like Allstate.”
